In September 2020, Nigel Ovenden was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer. His only real hope of survival is a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor, but currently there is no one on the worldwide donor register who is a match. Hanbury Manor Golf Club is supporting Nigel and DKMS to raise awareness about the importance of registering as a potential blood stem cell donor, and the need to raise money to cover the cost of donor registration.
