  • About

Isabelle, 13, was diagnosed with two serious blood disorders, including aplastic anaemia, a condition where the body does not produce enough blood cells, in August 2021.

Izzie’s parents, Neil and Sally, both West Midlands police officers, are calling for more people to register as potential blood stem cell donors, after their daughter’s diagnosis.

For many people with blood cancer or a blood disorder, like Izzie, a donation from a matching blood stem cell donor is their best and sometimes only chance of survival. Every year, 2,000 people in the UK need a blood stem cell donation from a stranger to give them a second chance of life.

The money you raise and donate will add more potentially life-saving matches to this register, as adding each one costs DKMS £40, and give more people with blood cancer and blood disorders a second chance at life.
