  • About

In 2018, Archie was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease called dada2, a condition that causes stroke-like episodes and immune system problems. At that time, there were only 150 people worldwide who suffered with the disease.

A bone marrow transplant is the only option for Archie. Unfortunately, no one in his family is a match, meaning Archie is now searching for an unrelated donor.

The money you raise and donate will add more potentially life-saving matches to this register, as adding each one costs DKMS £40, and give more people with blood cancer and blood disorders a second chance at life.

If you are aged 17-55 and in general good health, please consider becoming a blood stem cell donor. You could be the perfect match for someone in desperate need.
