  • About

Yvette, 41, is an explorer who makes friends wherever she goes, whether it’s at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro or while cycling around the Outer Hebrides. In May 2021, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a rare and aggressive blood cancer.

Yvette is of mixed Chinese and Jamaican heritage and has been told her best chance of a match is from a donor of Chinese heritage. Yvette 's brother Colin and sister-in-law Serena are calling out to the East Asian community in the UK and internationally to sign up to the blood stem cell register, so that Yvette, and others like her, can have a second chance of life.

For many people with blood cancer or a blood disorder, a donation from a matching blood stem cell donor is their best and sometimes only chance of survival. Every year, 2,000 people in the UK need a blood stem cell donation from a stranger to give them a second chance of life
Adding each person to the register costs £40, so the money you raise or donate helps us to find more matches and give more people with blood cancer or blood disorders a second chance of life.
