  • About

As a full-time dad, George Neague is very family-oriented which is why it is so devasting to be diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS).

George has been able to find a 12/12 match to supply a stem cell donation. However, George’s latest bone marrow biopsy result before transplant were not as good as the doctors expected it to be, making him medically unfit for the planned transplant. The doctors have proposed that George undergoes further treatment for three to six months with the view to get his counts under control first.

In the meantime his family and friends are raising awareness of the need for more stem cell donors to give people like George a second chance of life.

It costs £40 to regsiter each potential lifesaver, and DKMS rely on the generosity of our supporters to cover this cost. Please donate now.
