Evie is just 15 months old. She’s a cheerful baby despite having spent at fair proportion of her life in hospital.
In December last year, Evie was diagnosed with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SJIA), also known as Still's disease. By March of this year, doctors also diagnosed a related life-threatening complication, macrophage activation syndrome (MAS). With standard treatment not working, Evie is undergoing rounds of chemotherapy to keep her rare disease under control.
The combination of severe MAS with Still's disease means her doctors are now proposing a stem cell transplant to cure her MAS.
Please help to fund the registration of more potential lifesavers for Evie, and others like her, by making a donation today. It costs DKMS £40 to register each of potential lifesaver, and we rely on the generosity of our supporrers to cover this cost.
