Florence, age 6, has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). Her best chance of survival is an urgent blood stem cell transplant from a stranger. Currently there is no match for Florence on the worldwide blood stem cell donor register. Together with DKMS, her family are encouraging more peopel to become potential lifesavers by joining the registry.
Florence’s Auntie Lauren says “We need to make as many people as possible aware of the situation to help save as many lives and find as many matches as we can. You never think this will happen to your family but when it does you would go to any length to save them.”
It costs DKMS £40 to register each potential donor, and we rely on the generosity of our supporters to cover this cost. Your donation will give more poeple with blood cancer, like Florence, a second chance of life.
